The best of the winter woodland trend

The woodland trend has been given a frosty new look for the cold season. Here are our favourite wintry woodland buys on the high street right now

The ever-popular woodland trend has stepped through the wardrobe into Narnia and emerged with a snowy dusting just in time for winter.

Warm wood and cosy country prints have been replaced by pale, icy hues and snuggly faux furs that will send Scandi fans scuttling to the shops.

We've picked out a few of our favourite homeware finds with that frosty forest feel...

Autumn / Winter 2016 Collection, H&M

H&M are leading the way on the winter front with a generous sprinkling of woodland-inspired must-haves. We love their woodland photo print curtain (£12.99). It provides the perfect backdrop to this winter woodland scheme featuring a metal bear candlestick (£12.99), metal tree branch candlestick (£24.99) and a faux fur cushion cover (£12.99) that looks as though it was made out of the White Witch's mantle.

Norwegian Forest Pendant Lamp, £398, The Lollipop Shoppe

ceiling lamp with forest print

Design doesn't come much more Nordic than the Norwegian Forest pendant. It's made of sustainable Scandinavian ash or birch using a traditional Scandinavian veneer-shaping technique, and finished off with a laser-cut scene of a Scandinavian forest. Isn't it good, Norwegian wood?

Antonito Studded Screen Three-panel Room Divider, £79.99, Wayfair

This deer-bedecked room divider would make a great addition to a cool, country bedroom scheme. Use it to create a separate dressing area, keeping strewn clothes neatly out of sight.

LED Stag Wall Light, £25, Wilko

If the all-out wintry trend is too chilly for your taste, this attractive - and affordable - wall art will add an inviting glow to your scheme. Team it with metallic accessories to catch and reflect the light.

Masters Chair, £154, Philippe Starck for Kartell at John Lewis

white living room with white chair

Philippe Starck was attemping to create a hybrid of three classic chair designs when he came up with the Masters chair, but we reckon it looks as though he took some winter saplings and twisted them into a stylish seat. Whichever the case, this chair is sure to sit pretty in any winter woodland scheme.

Billie Badger Rug, £55.95, Cuckooland

pale grey colouring and fluffy feel will contrast beautifully with white-painted floorboards

Do badgers hibernate in winter? Dunno. But one thing we do know is that this badger rug will look brilliant as part of a winter woodland-themed children's room. Its pale grey colouring and fluffy feel will contrast beautifully with white-painted floorboards.

Stag plate, £3, Matalan

white plate with deer design

Matalan have put a subtle spin on the winter woodland trend with their stag-themed tableware. We're thinking this is the perfect plate for Christmas dinner...

Patcham Green Print Wallpaper, £34 per roll, Laura Ashley

beautiful woodland wallpaper for walls

This woodland wallpaper design is delicate as well as intricate thanks to its cool green and cream palette. We're thinking country-style cloakroom or boot room.

Woodland Print Duvet Set, £12, George Home at Asda

adorable duvet set with animals of farthing wood.

There's nothing not to like about this adorable duvet set. It reminds us of the Animals of Farthing Wood and, at £12 for a double set, is an absolute bargain. We think it would make the perfect pairing for the Cuckooland badger rug.
