Ideal Home Truths

Where’s your happy place?

My happy place is sitting in the living room at my Mum's house in North Yorkshire. She lives at the top of a hill in the countryside, so the living room has huge windows looking out over the rolling fields below.

What’s your home addiction?

I'm obsessed with vintage crockery, I'm a magpie for scouring charity shop bric-a-brac shelves.  My best finds to date are a set of pastel blue Wedgewood candle stick holders and a set of six cut glass wine tumblers I picked up at a second-hand store in the Lake District.

What is your next home project?

I just moved into my first unfurnished rental flat so we're busy kitting it out. We're mostly trying to stick to using second-hand items we're bought cheaply or picked up for free. We inherited some wooden farmhouse chairs from a family friend that need a little upcycling love so they're my next big project.
