Modern dining room
Located opposite the kitchen the dining room creates a sociable area within the open-plan space. The French doors can be opened in the summer to make the room feel like part of the garden. Not wanting the scheme to be too cluttered, the owners added accents of colour with soft furnishings and key pieces of furniture, such as the red chair in the dining room.
Get the look: The egg chair is from The Lollipop Shoppe.

Living room seating
Neutral colours and plenty of light from the French windows make the living room a soothing and relaxed space. A large rug softens the wooden flooring, and yellow accents add subtle colour to the scheme.

Most of the furniture in the house is modern, but the owners added a few retro pieces, such as the sideboard and easy chair in the living room.
