Converted from the threshing barn, this spacious home has an open-plan dining room and hallway, living room, kitchen and breakfast room, utility room, cloakroom, home office and four bedrooms (all en suite).

Exterior

Living room
Vintage furniture painted in a stylish shade of grey acts as a contrast to the barn's exposed beams and brickwork. The vibrantly patterned sofa brings a warm shot of personality to the room.
The sofa is from Duresta and covered in fabric from Osborne & Little.

Home office
Sitting next to the living room, a white scheme keeps the home office light and functional, with accent shades adding a splash of colour. Bespoke storage shelves with a built-in desk, offer a practical working space.

Country kitchen
The inherited cabinets needed little improving, other than updating the wooden worktops with an engineered granite surface. A country feel is still apparent in this monochrome scheme thanks to the Shaker-style units.
Visit Granite Transformations for worktops like these.

Kitchen-diner
The breakfast area at the side of the kitchen retains some of the cosy aspects of the barn with exposed beams and brickwork, but continues the monochrome scheme from the kitchen. A large dresser is ideal for housing the owners' prized collection of tableware.
The tableware is from Emma Bridgewater, and find a dresser like this at Osborne & Brown.

Dining room
The dining room sits within the open-plan hallway, next to the spiral staircase and floor-to-ceiling front door that looks out onto fields. For variety and informality the owners chose two different styles of dining chairs.
The dining table is from Furniture Village, and the upholstered chairs from Aldiss.

Downstairs hallway
Opposite to the dining area is a casual space you would normally find in a hallway, with a country-style bench, storage baskets and coat stand.
Find limestone floor tiles similar to these at Mandarin Stone.

Hallway storage
Fitting snugly into a wasted corner of the upstairs hallway sits a storage dresser. The glass doors mean pretty bedlinen and towels can be seen rather than hidden away.
Laura Ashley sells a similar dresser.

Main bedroom
In the main bedroom pastel blue furnishings have a fresh seaside feel. The cast-iron bed, with decorative metalwork and finials, completes the country look.
Try House of Fraser for bedlinen like this, and Feather & Black for a similar bed.

Guest bedroom
Simple pieces for furniture create a relaxed vibe in the guest bedroom. The owners chose a pastel green palette to bring the fresh feeling of the outdoors into the room.
The Holding Company sells a similar butler's tray.
