Sophie Conran’s Christmas: A pink and red table

Hello, I’m Sophie Conran and I’m a designer. Welcome to my London flat. I have put together a Christmas table setting today and the main theme of it is colour. I’ve colour blocked using reds and pinks. I think these work really beautifully together.

Instead of using a traditional table setting I’ve put flower arrangements in little bowls, and inside the bowls I’ve put some oasis to keep the flowers in place, and some moss. I’ve used fantastic David Austin roses, which are called Kate, and are named after the Duchess of Cambridge. I’ve also used hypericum berries, which are very festive and come from the St John’s wort plant.

For my plates I’ve used a design that I’ve worked on with Portmeirion. It’s called winter print and it’s a mix-and-match design. To make it a bit more fun I’ve used these jolly little felt robins, which are really sweet. For place names I’ve used little tags and sweets on the napkins.

I hope you’ve enjoyed it. Don’t forget the crackers and have a wonderful Christmas.
