    Knightsbridge Hotel

    Hotel: Knightsbridge Hotel

    Address: 10 Beaufort Gardens, London SW3 1PT

    Price: A double room costs from £342 per night, breakfast excluded

    Contact: 020 7590 1311;

    LOCATION: Situated in a quiet, tree-lined street in the heart of central London, the Knightsbridge Hotel is a stone’s throw from Harrods and Harvey Nichols, with Hyde Park and the museums of South Kensington also within walking distance.

    ROOMS: There are 44 beautiful bedrooms and suites in this smart townhouse hotel, which is part of
    the Firmdale Hotels portfolio owned by husband-and-wife team, Kit and Tim Kemp. All of the rooms have been individually created by interior-designer Kit in her signature fresh, modern, English style, and they all feature high-speed Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and iPod docking stations. Located on the hotel’s first floor, the Knightsbridge Suite (right) is elegant and spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows that let light flood in. This open-plan space has been decorated in a soothing palette of soft greys and blues lifted with splashes of bright colour and pattern. There’s a comfy seating area with classic furniture, as well as an intimate dining area.

    FAMOUS FOR: Its high standards of excellence and Kit’s unique style of decoration, which saw her named the Andrew Martin International Interior Designer of the Year in 2008.

    CELEBRITY GUESTS: Knightsbridge Hotel wouldn’t disclose any of its famous guests, but given the affluent area in which it’s located, if you don’t see a celebrity in the hotel, you’re almost certain to see one sipping on a macchiato in a coffee shop nearby.
