Space-poor Brits have no idea what a RAKE is!

Brits are no longer able to identify basic garden tools

To mark National Gardening Week, leading outdoor paint brand Cuprinol has released brand new research unearthing (pun intended) Brits’ shift in gardening habits, or should we say lack of.

Young Brits are losing their gardening vocabulary with 20% unable to
identify a rake, 65% have no idea what a pruner is, and a shocking 10%
of under 25s are not familiar with a hose pipe. Absolutely shocking!

With outside space at a premium, space-poor Brits are getting creative
to make the most of their garden area with living walls, vertical veg,
and hanging baskets rising in popularity.

Decking and fencing has overtaken traditional flowerbeds with young families as they look to easy maintenance options for their outdoor space.

Do you need to brush up on your gardening knowledge? With National Gardening Week in full swing, now is the perfect time to venture into the great outdoors.
